Within its limited compass, '71 packs a punch, and the lack of political bias does give it a more encompassing feel.. If the graphic-novel-style hyperviolence of Sin City or 300 is your thing, go ahead and knock yourself out. Or let Angelina do it for you ... It feels so much nicer that way.. It quickly tanks, thanks to a lead character with no goals, focus, appeal or intelligence and a lead actor who's just a little too convincing at playing a dunce.. Bekmambetov's movie evaporates pretty quick...
